A new hardening line for bevelled flat bar products made of low-alloy steel was launched yesterday at the Acciaierie Venete plant in Mura (BS, Italy).
The plant has a capacity of 50,000 tons per year and was built by the company GF Elti.
The new line consists of an access area of the downstream bundles, which has an "Inlet" area with a load manipulator equipped with 6 electromagnets and deposits the loads onto a roller conveyor. The oven is equipped with a series of regenerative burners that operate according to multiple thermal zones and capable of reaching a maximum temperature of 950 degrees. The line continues with an automatic hardening, sorting, bundling and unloading machine.
This investment is aimed at meeting the increasingly stringent and sophisticated market for flat bar products for the earth moving machinery sector.
